Reflection on Aiden Day Build – House #112 – Laura W.

I expected the experience of helping provide a family with a home to be both personally empowering and physically demanding, especially due to the hot temperatures. What I did not anticipate was the emotional connection with the people and the on-site community. Their gratitude and involvement in helping a neighbor, and my contribution to the process, made me reflect on the privileges that I take for granted and I left feeling beyond impressed with the strength of those with fewer resources. My experience with Cambiando Vidas was powerful and lasting.
